In the past La Salle’s most anticipated games have been those against rival school Gladstone; however, with La Salle’s move to 5A Gladstone is no longer in La Salle’s league. This did not stop the fans from supporting their beloved Falcons in their first game of the season at Gladstone High School.

Last night, Monday December 8th, the La Salle boys’ and girls’ basketball teams traveled to Gladstone’s home courts to battle the Gladiators. Although both competitors put up a good fight, La Salle came out victorious.

The final score for the boys varsity team was 60 to 42, and the girls varsity team won with a score of 71-19.

Both teams played well and the high scoring demonstrated by the La Salle athletes in their game at Gladstone gives fans hope that the team will excel throughout the coming season.

The boys’ varsity basketball team will be playing again this Thursday against Westview on Westview’s home cour at 7:15. Also, the girls’ varsity basketball team plays in Lebanon this coming Friday at 7:15.
