Behind the Scenes of The La Salle Falconer

As the new year has started, so has a new school website: The La Salle Falconer. Our school newspaper and website is student-run and gives our community an inside look at school events, photo galleries, and sports scores of our athletic teams.

Also, as of this year, our student-run journalism class has made social media websites to provide snippets of information about upcoming events and life at La Salle. We are available on Twitter, Instagram, and our own webpage named The La Salle Falconer, which was voted on by our student body.

Our Twitter account, @lasallefalconer, provides easy access to the news stories on our website and also provides notifications of upcoming events.

We also have an Instagram account that is found under @lasallefalconer, which is used for posting pictures of our school-wide events and for things like showcasing our school spirit at sporting events. If you have photos you’d like to share with us, you can be a part of this page by submitting pictures to [email protected].

As some people may be worried about a La Salle website page following them and looking at their tweets, we want to let you know that this is not the case. We are just looking to make a positive impact in our community and want to do this by providing our La Salle community with stories and news that we hope you will find interesting.

Our primary goal for our new online presence is for our school community to be involved and engaged in what we are doing. We want these things to be modern and helpful to our community. Our website and social media presence is not just student run by us — it is also run by you.

In closing, we need your ideas for it to be engaging for you. So help us out and follow us on our social media websites and check out the stories we have posted on our main site.
