Maia Gutmann

Maia Gutmann, Staff Reporter

Maia is a junior and a member of the varsity girls soccer team and Students Against Sexual Assault club. When she’s not playing soccer for La Salle, she plays for FC Portland’s ECNL team. 

She loves to travel and explore, with her favorite place she’s visited being Sri Lanka, an island country just southeast of India. She hopes to visit Norway and Thailand and explore all throughout South America. 

Outside of school she enjoys discovering new restaurants in and around Portland such as Farmhouse Thai Cuisine! She also spends much of her time marveling at the beautiful Pacific Northwest and taking in the natural wonders before it’s too late. 

She’s passionate about social and climate justice and plans to pursue some sort of higher education in an effort to make a difference in the world.

Senior Joe Demers plans to take a gap year following graduation, and will work at PDX Sliders in Sellwood if another opportunity doesn’t arise.
