Tottenham Hotspurs

Tottenham has had a mixed season so far.

They had an excellent season last year — qualifying for the Champions League after being absent earlier the previous year.

This season started well but they have fallen into the habit of not playing the first half. It has been a recurring theme that the Hotspurs start the game slowly, fall behind, then come alive in the second half.

This is not sustainable.

Manager Antonio Conte was brought in last season after about eight games due to the poor start the squad had under Nuno Espírito Santo.

He had the summer to implement his ideals and mold the team to his vision. Conte needs to make a truce with the club so they can work together and attempt to salvage their Champions League bid.

A worry for Tottenham will be their success rate against other top-six teams, as they have lost to all of these teams as well as Newcastle. If they want to continue their top-four bid, they need to start getting more points against these teams.

In the North London Derby versus Arsenal, they were soundly beaten in a toothless performance.

While the team beat Fulham 1-0 in their most recent game, they also recently lost to Man City when they were leading with two goals in the first half, then lost 2-4.

They have been dropping points recently but the improvement in the style of play they have exhibited makes it so they will most likely finish top-four.
