As an avid music listener I love the radio. My radio is all pre-set to my favorite stations and my phone has all sorts of songs downloaded. The range of songs that I listen to is huge and I really jam out to almost everything. I am a complete music junkie.

My favorite songs to listen to in the car or just at home are as follows:

1) “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin
Yes I listen to classic rock and I listen to it like an addiction. This song may have come out in 1971 but it is an amazing piece of music. I love every second of this song and if for some unfortunate reason that you have not heard it, you need to right now. I highly recommend songs from this era and this is definitely one of my favorites.

2) “Fire on the Mountain” by Grateful Dead
Dead head for LIFE. This band is everything I love about music. It was so hard to pick a favorite song out of everything they have so I went with this musical piece of wonder. I fully understand that this is another band from our parent’s generation but this music is forever my favorite. Please do yourself a favor and listen to at least one song by the Grateful Dead.

3) “Take Me to Church” by Hozier
This song is breathtaking. The first time I heard this song I loved it. The powerful lyrics compare relationships to religion as a part of dying and change. You go through a change within yourself and Hozier portrays that in this beautiful song.

4) “Going Down For Real” by Flo Rida feat. Sage the Gemini
This song is so much fun to listen to. I got to see Flo Rida perform this song live and it was an amazing experience that just furthered my love for this song. Basically all of Flo Rida’s songs, I love.

5) “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift
As a part of Taylor Swift’s new album 1989, this fun song is all about crazy. It goes from the bliss of a new relationship into the drama of a crash and burn ending. I will forever love Taylor Swift and I have no shame about that at all. My favorite line definitely has to be, “…darling I’m a nightmare dressed like a daydream.”
