In a rather slow weekend of college football, here are the top three games to watch this weekend:

Saturday, October 10

13 Northwestern @ 18 Michigan (12:30 pm, Big Ten Network)
After holding the Stanford Cardinal to only 6 points in week one, the Northwestern Wildcats have been rolling to a 5-0 record. Northwestern’s defense has been a focus point on the field this season, only giving up 8.8 points per game. In 10 total redzone trips, the Wildcats have only given up 1 touchdown, and have forced 3 redzone turnovers, tied for most in the country. The Wolverines of Michigan are 4-1, falling only to the fifth ranked Utah Utes. First year head coach, Jim Harbaugh, has turned around Michigan after going 5-7 all of last year. The Wolverines have been solid on both offense and defense, outscoring opponents 139-38. Although Northwestern is undefeated and on a roll, Michigan seems to explosive for the Wildcats.
Prediction: Michigan 19, Northwestern 14

11 Florida @ Missouri (4:30 pm, SEC Network)
Ever since the great Tim Tebow left “The Swamp” in 2009, Florida football has struggled. However, if you ask anyone around Gainesville, Florida, the Gators are back. Last week Florida trampled Ole Miss 38-10, in one of the most surprising games so far this season. The Gators were led by a huge performance from QB Will Grier. Grier completed 24 of his 29 passes and threw for 4 TDs. The Missouri Tigers come into this matchup at 4-1, only losing to a very underrated Kentucky team. Kentucky played Florida tough, losing 14-9. If Florida plays as they did last week, they should win easily.
Prediction: Florida 29, Missouri 13

23 Cal @ 5 Utah (7:00 pm, ESPN)
After absolutely embarrassing Oregon on the road two weeks ago, Utah had a bye last week. Now, the Utes will take on a very surprising Cal Bears team, at home. Although Cal hasn’t played a top 25 team this year, they are 5-0 and being led by emerging start QB, Jared Goff. Goff is 3rd in the country in touchdown passes (15) and is 7th in the country in total passing yards (1630). He is considered to be the best Cal quarterback since NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers was a Golden Bear from 2002-2004. Although Cal has been a surprise team in the Pac 12, Utah has shocked all of college football. The Utes had high hopes coming into the 2015 season, but after putting up 62 against Oregon, the sky’s the limit for Utah. Although Cal has a solid offense, Utah should be able to run away with this one.
Prediction: Utah 42, Cal 20
